We do not use cookies, analytics, or tracking technologies on this website. The only data collected through the site is what you submit via the contact form.
We use the information collected to respond to enquiries and arrange tutoring sessions, schedule and conduct lessons, track student progress and tailor lesson content, issue invoices and manage payments, and communicate with parents/guardians about scheduling or progress.
Many of our students are minors. Where possible, we collect contact and account information from a parent or guardian rather than the child directly, and treat the parent/guardian as the primary contact for all administrative and payment matters. Information specific to the student (e.g. subjects, progress notes) is collected only as needed to provide tutoring.
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We may share information only with the parent/guardian of a student regarding that student; if required by law; or with a service provider strictly necessary to run the business (e.g. our bank, for processing transfers). We do not disclose personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
Personal information is stored securely (e.g. password-protected devices/accounts) and is only accessible to Jacob Yuan. We take reasonable steps to protect information from misuse, loss, or unauthorised access. Information is retained only as long as needed for tutoring and business record-keeping purposes (including tax obligations).
You — or, for a minor student, their parent/guardian — may request access to the personal information we hold, request correction of inaccurate information, request deletion of information no longer needed (subject to legal record-keeping requirements), and withdraw consent to further contact at any time.
